Elegant Easter Egg Basket

Hi, thank you for viewing our Blog Hop
I created this elegant basket made from cardstock. I was inspired by Sam from Mixed Up Craft when she made a tea cup. I didn't have a big enough circle die so I improvised and used a bowl!

Using a pencil I drew around the bowl then cut out the circle freehand. I then placed a smaller circle die in the middle (guestamating) and ran it through the big shot.

I then cut into the center, after deciding how big I wanted my basket I cut away the excess and adhered it together with liquid glue. Next I die cut another circle which was largle than the circumference of the bottom of the basket & adhered it onto a doilie. Using the starburst punch I punched out the circe to adhere the inside bottom to the larger circle to create a sturdy base. Using a 1"x 11&3/4" I attached the handle.

Finally I decorated my basket and added chocolate eggs.

Hope you like this simple but elegant 3D project and please check out all of the rest of our projects:-

  8. I like that this basket is a good size so can fit either lots of eggs or one nice big one - can you tell I like chocolate? It has to be dark though. Great way of improvising too.
